City Of Hamilton To Host Drive-In Movie Event
The City of Hamilton announced its next Fresh Air Films event which will take place over the 2022 Easter Weekend.
A spokesperson said, “The City will host a drive-in edition of its iconic film series on Saturday April 16th, in the City Hall car park.
“The first showing will feature Encanto [PG] and will take place at 6:30pm and the second movie of the night, Spider-Man: No Way Home [PG-13], will start at 9pm. Gates will open at 5:30pm.
“Entry into the event is with a receipt [per car, per movie] from any City of Hamilton business for purchases of at least $25.00 made between March 14 and April 16, 2022.
“Those attending are asked to write their name, phone number and email on the back of their receipt before arriving at the car park to avoid congestion. Receipts will serve as reference for contact tracing purposes, if necessary.
“Food and beverage will be available for purchase on-site from vendors including Ashely’s Lemonade, Speciality Cinema & Grill and Four Star.
“Attendees are asked to adhere to the recommended health and safety protocols. Additionally, attendees are reminded that they must watch the movies in a car; there will be no seating area available.”
“The City really wanted to put on something special for island residents during the Easter weekend,” explained Senior Events and Marketing Coordinator, Tamara Bradshaw. “The evening will feature two popular new movies and also fun City trivia and delicious food and beverage items for sale.”
