Rego Continues To Excel In USA Competition
Bermudian equestrian Cody Rego claimed 1st place in the Platinum Performance/USEF Show Jumping Talent Search 2* in the U.S.
A spokesperson said, “After celebrating his birthday on 23rd March, Cody Rego was given more reason to celebrate after his outstanding performance on 24th March at Week 11 of the 2022 Wellington Equestrian Festival [WEF].
“Competing on Tanzanite de Semilly, Cody claimed 1st place in the Platinum Performance/USEF Show Jumping Talent Search 2*. This dynamic team also placed 1st in Class 3092 WIHS Jumper Phase CALI and 3rd Place in WIHS Hunter Phase CALI thus capturing the WIHS Overall 1st place for Section A.
“The WIHS [Washington International Horse Show] is an official USEF Heritage competition which will be held from 24th – 30th October 2022. The BEF extends its further congratulations to Cody Rego who, as of 28th March 2022, was 15th in the WIHS Rankings for the Equitation East division.
“The Platinum Performance/USEF Show Jumping Talent Search Program consists of qualifying classes held across the USA. A unique feature of this program is that a Final is held on each USA Coast. The Final East will be held in New Jersey and Final West is held in California.”
