Casey Truran Named Reserve High Point Rider
Bermuda’s Casey Truran was declared the 2021/2022 Reserved Champion in the Final IHSA Regional 5, Zone 5 – Final High Point Rider Standings.
A spokesperson said, “It was a weekend to remember for Bermuda’s Casey Truran and SCAD equestrian team, fondly referred to as the “Bees”.
“On Saturday 19th March, the SCAD team won the Final IHSA Regular Season event with a total score of 38 points. Casey Truran was declared Reserve High Point Rider with a 1st place winning in the Open Flat class and a 2nd place in the Open Over Fences.
“Success continued Sunday for both the SCAD team and Casey Truran. The SCAD Equestrian Team claimed top honors as Champions in the IHSA Final Region 5 Zone 5 Standings, thus qualifying the team for the Zone 5 Finals on 2nd April.
“In addition, Bermuda’s Casey Truran was declared the 2021/2022 Reserved Champion in the Final IHSA Regional 5, Zone 5 – Final High Point Rider Standings. Casey also successfully qualified for the upcoming Zone 5 Finals.
“Casey is a student at the Savannah College of Art & Design [SCAD] majoring in Architecture. The Bermuda Equestrian Federation extends its congratulations to Casey Truran as well as his SCAD equestrian teammates.”
