Latest Bermuda Softball League Results

Western Stars Angels remain undefeated in the softball Women’s Division after defeating Rainbows 18 to 10. Leadoff batter Nikita Trott was on fire as she went 4-5 with a triple and 7 RBI. Teammates Debbie DeShields and Rickelle Smith were both 3-5. Rainbows had Natasha Lambert, Ashley Borges, and Tiffany Milne go 3-4 in the losing effort.

The other women’s game saw PHC Zebras pick up their first win of the year when they doubled up HardKnockz 18-9. Chanae Burgess was a perfect 3-3 at the plate with 4 RBI. Tawana Lee and Kascia Dasilva were both 2-3 for Zebras. Harknockz was limited to four hits, with Sarah Robinson and Vanessa Paulos having two each.

Mike’s Trucking ran its record to 2-0 in the C Division after beating Super Express 22-15. Trucking had no power shortage in plating 22 runs as Carlos Lima, John Outerbridge, and Jaleen Martin all homered. Lima, Outerbridge, and Brandon Ray were all 3-5. Garic Swainson blasted two homers for Express, while teammate Chay Carlington added a two-run homer in the loss.

Also, in the C Division, short-handed Killawhat fell from the undefeated ranks in an 11-7 loss to Butterfield & Vallis. In a six-run second inning, Chris Mayne’s two-run shot helped propel B&V to triumph. Mayne was 4-4 at the plate, while Quincey Bean was 3-4. George Fubler and Devin Appel had three hits for Killawhat, while Tina Rowse was 2-2 with two walks.

Both Beach Bums and Hakuna Mata Lions still have unblemished records in the B Division. The Lions went to 2-0 after downing the Raggamuffins 10-4 while the Bums kicked sand all over Team Smokey 23-11.

Monday’s games at the Michael Preece Softball Diamond were postponed as the field was too wet. Link for the standings: here
