Summerhaven Trust Charity Golf Tournament
The second Annual Summerhaven Charity Golf Tournament was held in somewhat breezy conditions on Saturday [April 23] at the Ocean View Golf & Country Club.
A spokesperson said, “Due to the restrictions imposed by Covid, the tournament — which began in 2019 — had to be postponed for 2 years.
“A field of 35 players began with a shotgun start, finishing off with lunch and the prize presentation. This year however, it was somewhat of twist with the partnership of a few Corrections Officers who paid homage to their fellow Corrections Officers for their long service.
“Corrections Officers who were recognized for their long service by their colleagues were: Kavon Trott, Tinty Ming and Kenny Butterfield.
“Gold sponsors of the event were The Lindo’s Group, Sea Venture Shipping and Silver sponsors were Stirling Paint and Europa Imports. In addition there were a host of sponsors and donors making the entire event memorable and successful.”
