Smiths Parish Council Offer $2500 Scholarships
The Smiths Parish Council announced that it will offer scholarships for the Academic Year 2021/22.
A spokesperson said, “The scholarship is being provided for residents of Smiths Parish pursuing further education. The successful applicants’ recipients will receive a $2500 to assist with tuition and ancillary expenses for the qualifying academic year. We are looking for well-rounded individuals, who show a consistent effort educationally, a commitment to their professional aspirations, and can demonstrate a sense of responsibility for their community.,
“Scholarships will be awarded to qualified applicants who are undertaking tertiary education or pursuing an undergraduate degree; Bermuda College Students are invited to apply. Applicants must have graduated from a Bermuda high school.
“Applicants must be Bermudian and have resided in Smiths Parish for at least 3 years and must submit a completed Application Form by the deadline of August 1st, 2022; incomplete applications will not be considered. There are no age restrictions.
“The following documents are required: Proof of Bermudian or PRC Status, Transcripts [most recent] Academic letter of recommendation, Personal Letter of recommendation, Acceptance Letter and Financial need form. “Preference will be given to Applicants who can demonstrate financial need.
