The Huddle Networking Event On May 15
The Huddle will be hosting an event on networking on Sunday, May 15th at 3.00pm.
A spokesperson said, “The Huddle — a new platform created by coaching company Clarendon Wallace and aimed at providing professional support for the Island’s next generation of leaders — will host an event on networking on Sunday, May 15th.
“Entitled ‘How to Build Your Network: Successfully & Authentically You’, the event will give Millennial and Gen Z professionals the tools to stand out and build lasting connections, which they can take with them throughout their career journey.”
Lorene Phillips, Clarendon Wallace CEO and Founder of The Huddle, said: “I’m extremely excited to bring this second instalment of The Huddle to young professionals on the Island. Anyone who has had a successful and long-lasting career can speak to the value of having a powerful network for support, learning and to aid in one’s professional growth.
“While building your network is extremely important, the act of networking isn’t necessarily a skill that comes naturally to everyone and when done incorrectly, it can feel uncomfortable or even inauthentic at times. Through this event, we hope young people can see networking as an opportunity to show up genuinely and build real, meaningful relationships that serve not only you, but the person you’re building connections with as well.”
Other panelists at the May 15th event will include:
- Craig Bridgewater, Bank of N.T. Butterfield & Son Limited, Group Head of Finance
- Bill McCormick, Selling From The Heart, Sales Trust Coach
- Samara Wilson, Human Resources Support/ Administrator, Artex Risk Solutions
- Aaron Phillips, Allied World, Associate Underwriter
“The Huddle was officially launched earlier this year with the aim of addressing topics that low and mid-level careerist find important. The first event, held on Sunday, January 23, discussed salary negotiations and how to find work that aligns with your purpose, while other events in the near future will look at topics such as branding yourself professionally and communicating effectively,” a spokesperson said,
Mrs Phillips said: “I believe wholeheartedly that The Huddle will create impact for the next generation of leaders, here at home in Bermuda and abroad. While the hour-long event tends to fly by in no time, I trust that the critical and timely information we provide will answer some of the top questions our attendees have and will serve them for years and maybe even decades to come.
“Networking is a power skill and each of our panelists can share direct examples of what networking can achieve personally and professionally, so this is bound to be an engaging and impactful event.”
