FIFA Highlight Leverock’s Goal To 15M Followers

The acrobatic goal by Bermuda’s Dante Leverock in last night’s match against Guyana has been highlighted by FIFA via Twitter to their more than 15 million followers, with FIFA suggesting that the spectacular goal could be a contender for the FIFA Puskás Award, which is given to the most aesthetically significant goal.

FIFA’s tweet said,, “A #Puskas contender by Dante Leverock of BermudaFA? It could be in the mix.”

The FIFA website explained that the FIFA Puskás Award is “given to the player judged to have scored the most aesthetically significant goal, regardless of championship, gender or nationality and scored without the result of luck or a mistake and in support of fair play.”
