Video: Cannonier-Watson In Jubilee Concert
Bermudian Ravi Cannonier-Watson was among the dancers from the prestigious Royal Ballet School who performed at the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebration in England, with the concert watched by millions of people.
According to the BBC, “An average of nearly 12 million people in the UK watched the Platinum Party in the Palace on BBC One on Saturday. The concert saw stars including Diana Ross, George Ezra, Queen and Elbow perform in front of a Buckingham Palace crowd including the Royal Family.”
The talented 17-year-old previously said, “Our artistic director came into one of our lessons and nonchalantly said we were performing for the Queen as part of the Jubilee.

“None of us quite believed him, and he was like, ‘no, you’re all going to be performing for the Queen!’ As a dancer, you never get that amount of people watching you. It will be amazing to be part of history.”
Celebrations for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee are also underway locally, with a number of events taking place in Bermuda through June 12.
