Tennis Team Competes In Dominican Republic
Bermuda’s Billie Jean King Cup team began competing in Group II of the Americas Group A Round Robin Division at the Centro National Stadium in the Dominican Republic.
Bermuda took on the Bahamas on the opening day and lost by a margin of 3 – 0.
Asia-Leigh Hollis took to the court first and lost in straight sets 6-1, 6-1 to Elana Mackey. Shelby Madeiros was next on the court as she faced off against Sydney Clarke, losing in straight sets 6-0, 6-2. Nadhira Durham and Kumani Jackson took to the court for the doubles and they lost in straight sets 6-1, 6-0 to Clarke and Simone Pratt.
