Court Moving From Zoom To In Person Hearings

The Registrar for the Courts of Bermuda has released a Court Circular, dated August 31st, which states that “whilst the Courts have utilized Zoom to conduct remote hearings to address the difficulties with attending the Courts in person as a result of the Covid-19 Pandemic, all parties are now expected to attend all Court hearings in person.”

“It will be at the sole discretion of the presiding Judge or Registrar to direct whether a Court hearing can take place remotely, via Zoom,” the notice adds.

    When will administration update the online court schedules and see to it that they’re updated in a timely fashion every week ?
    Currently the magistrates court schedule was last updated on the 22nd of June and another listing hasn’t been updated since Feb of 2020 .
