Dominic Sabir Wins 2022 Safe Hands Award
Somerset Cup Match player Dominic Sabir was named the winner of the 2022 Calvin ‘Bummy’ Symonds Safe Hands Award.
A spokesperson said, “At a presentation held this morning at the offices of Bermuda HealthCare Services, Somerset Cup Match Reserve Player Dominic Sabir was named the 2022 recipient of the Calvin ‘Bummy’ Symonds Safe Hands Award.
Chris Sabir – Dominic’s Father; Dr. Mahesh Reddy – Medical Director of Bermuda Healthcare Services & Brown-Darrell Clinic; Dennis Wainwright – Former St. George’s Wicket Keeper
“The award is sponsored by BHCS and given to the player who makes the most spectacular catch. Mr. Dennis Wainwright, former St. George’s wicketkeeper, and his committee choose the winner on behalf of BHCS.
“Chris Sabir gratefully accepted the award from BHCS Medical Director Dr. Mahesh Reddy on behalf of his son Dominic who is currently travelling.
“As the Calvin ‘Bummy’ Symonds Safe Hands Award winner Dominic Sabir receives a trophy and a $1000.00 cheque courtesy of sponsor Bermuda HealthCare Services.”
