Jamin Hodgkins has been named in the Select XV for the Canada Conference rugby tournament after his impressive displays for Canada Under-20.
Hodgkins, whose mother is Canadian and father Bermudian, made his debut in Canada’s defeat to Zimbabwe before helping them beat Chile.
Canada lost their final match to Uruguay to finish third in the tournament.
An article on Americas Rugby News read: “[Hodgkins] started at fly-half in the first match then switched to fullback. The Bermudian plays for Cardiff Met in Wales and demonstrated sharp footballing skills.
“His kicking accuracy of tee was 80 per cent, a mark bettered only by Chile’s Damian Fliegel. Going forward Hodgkins looks like a good prospect at No 10.”
Hodgkins is a former Warwick Academy student and has represented Bermuda Under-19.
