August 31, 2022

Bermuda’s Sincere Hall scored for his Hull City Under-21 team as they played to a 4-2 loss against Ipswich Town Football Club.

The Ipswich Town Football Club’s match report said, “Town U21s continued their unbeaten start to the season after coming out on top in a six-goal thriller against Hull at Playford Road.

“Goals from Harley Curtis and Matt Ward sandwiched a Jack Manly brace as the young Blues made it seven points from their opening three Professional Development League Two games.

“After a tight opening 20 minutes, the first chance went to Manly, but he could only fire over from eight yards after Jesse Nwabueze had worked his way to the byline and pulled the ball back across the box.

“Nwabueze continued to cause problems as, just two minutes later, his low drive from 20 yards was smothered by Hull ‘keeper Tom Macauley.

“Curtis put the young Blues in front midway through the half. After latching onto a pass from Albie Armin, his initial lob came back off of the post, but the striker managed to flick the loose ball into the back of the net.

“The visitors were level just two minutes later, however, as Jake Leake side-footed into the bottom corner. Sincere Hall turned the game on its head on 37 minutes with a well-taken finish from just inside the area.

“Manly restored parity just before the break with a brilliant solo goal, beating two men before seeing his deflected shot nestle into the back of the net.”
