Advisory: City Trash Collection Next Week

The City of Hamilton advised of changes to the trash collection due to the Public Holiday on Monday for the State Funeral of Queen Elizabeth II.

A spokesperson said, “The City of Hamilton wishes to advise City businesses and residents that garbage collections will be scheduled as follows regarding the Public Holiday for the State Funeral of Queen Elizabeth II.

• Monday, September 19th – Garbage collection will take place for bars and restaurants only.

• Tuesday, September 20th– Normal garbage collection will resume for all.

“All garbage should be placed on the sidewalks or designated garbage areas by the times indicated in the Refuse Collection Schedule.

“Please do not place garbage out for collection unless a collection is scheduled for that day.”
