Barnes Competing In Rock Island Grand Prix

Scott Barnes began competing in the 27th edition of the Xtream Rock Island Grand Prix on the city streets of Rock Island, Illinois.

Barnes had a good day behind the wheel picking up 1 win, 2 seconds, 2 thirds, and a fourth-place finish on the day.

In the Margay Ignite Masters Class – Heat Race, Barnes clocked a winning time of 6:54.079, in the King of The Rock – 100cc Class – Heat Race Barnes finished 4th clocking 6:02.880.

Barnes finished 4th in the Briggs Masters Class – Heat Race, crossing the line in a time of 6:44.701, with a time of 5:27.508, Barnes finished 2nd in the Margay Ignite Senior 1 Class – Heat Race.

During the King of The Streets Class – Heat Race, Barnes clocked a time of 5:29.695 finishing 2nd, Barnes finished 3rd in the King of The Rock – Briggs 206 Class – Heat Race clocking a time of 6:32.037.

Barnes recorded a Did Not Finish in the 100cc Senior Class – Heat Race only completing 2 of the 10 scheduled laps, Barnes then finished 3rd in the Margay Ignite Senior 2 Class – Heat Race clocking a time of 5:37.085.

Barnes said, “What a day, my body hurts but we had a good day. Definitely, my high light of the day was putting it into the inside of turn 2 on the Country’s #1 ranked shifter driver AJ Meyers for 2nd in King of the Street Shifter Class.”
