BDA To Promote Bermuda Business In Toronto

The Bermuda Business Development Agency [BDA] will travel to Toronto to promote Bermuda’s business development opportunities from September 14 to September 16.

A spokesperson said, “For the first time since 2019, the Bermuda Business Development Agency will travel to Toronto to promote Bermuda’s business development opportunities with our important strategic partners in Canada.

“David Hart, BDA CEO, and Stephen Weinstein, BDA Chair will represent Bermuda during a series of business development meetings focusing on a wide range of sectors including, climate risk finance, technology, asset management, high net-worth services, and infrastructure.”

Mr. Hart said, “We will be in Toronto this week, September 14-16, to promote the benefits of investing in and doing business with Bermuda, including our safety, stability, and high-quality regulatory environment. Ten targeted meetings are set in the calendar, including with representatives from risk and insurance, private equity, legal services, and technology.

“As Canadians are about to enter the cooler autumn months, we will also take the opportunity to highlight Bermuda’s ongoing Economic Investment Certificate [EIC] initiative.

“These overseas business development missions not only allow us to tell the Bermuda story in a way that only we can, but also puts potential prospects in touch with the BDA’s comprehensive concierge service, ensuring new businesses experience as smooth an entry as possible into Bermuda.

“The BDA’s continued mandate is to diversify and grow Bermuda’s economy and we serve as a vital touchpoint between new market entrants and Bermuda’s experienced service providers.”
