Public Consultation: Draft Blue Prosperity Plan

Members of the public are invited to participate in three upcoming “consultation events aimed at providing information and receiving valuable feedback on the creation of Bermuda’s Draft Blue Prosperity Plan.”

A Government spokesperson said, “These events will take place on the following three dates and locations:

Session 1: 15th September 2022

  • Time: 6:00 – 7:30 p.m.
  • Location: St. Paul’s AME Centennial Church Hall, Hamilton

Session 2: Wednesday, 21st September 2022

  • Time: 6:00 – 7:30 p.m.
  • Location: Bermuda Institute of Ocean Sciences, Hanson Hall, St. George’s

Session 3: Wednesday, 28th September 2022

  • Time: 6:00 – 7:30 p.m.
  • Location: St James’ Church Hall, Somerset

“The Government will be live streaming these events on its Facebook page and will also be recording each session to share on the CITV YouTube channel and other social media platforms.

“The Hon. Walter Roban, JP MP, Deputy Premier, and Minister of Home Affairs will also in be in attendance to offer introductory remarks and highlight the Government’s ongoing commitment to growing our ocean economy.”

Minister Roban said, “I am extremely pleased to start the public consultation phase of this important project and want to strongly encourage participation in these events from members of the community who have questions and are curious about how they can contribute to the formation of this plan.”

The spokesperson said, “ For more information about the Draft Blue Prosperity Plan or the Bermuda Ocean Prosperity Programme, please visit here. The Citizens Forum for submitted electronic feedback is now live and can be found at: forum.gov.bm.”
