Suspects Brandish Gun In Spanish Point Area

Two suspects on a motorcycle “rode up to a group of men in the area of Spanish Point Park” where the ”pillion passenger reportedly brandished a firearm and pointed it at one of the men,” the police have confirmed.

A police spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Police Service, [BPS] can confirm there was a firearms incident in the Spanish Point area on Tuesday, 4th October, 2022. Thankfully, no one was injured in this incident.

“Investigators have ascertained two suspects on a white coloured Honda Scoopy-type motorcycle and dressed in all black clothing with their faces covered by dark tinted visors, rode up to a group of men in the area of Spanish Point Park, otherwise known as, Pontoons.

“The pillion passenger reportedly brandished a firearm and pointed it at one of the men, who, fled the scene.

“The suspects then rode off towards St. Johns Road.

“Investigators have spoken with a number of eye witnesses and reviewed CCTV footage in connection with this matter.

“However, we urge anyone who may have seen two individuals who fit the description above, in the St. Johns Road, Spanish Point areas around 1:00 p.m. yesterday, Tuesday, October 4th, to please get in contact with us by calling 211 or, the main police number, 295-0011.
