BAA, Wolves, X-Roads, Devonshire Cougars Win
Footballers in both the First Division and Premier Division were in action this weekend, with BAA, Wolves, X-Roads, and Devonshire Cougars all earning wins.
First Division
St. David’s 0 – BAA 3
At Lord’s in St. David’s, BAA defeated the home team 3 – 0.
After a defensive error, Riley Robinson gave BAA the lead in the 32nd minute with a low shot. BAA took that 1 – 0 lead to the break.
Robinson doubled the lead in the 75th minute, and then completed his hat trick five minutes later to earn BAA all three points.
Ireland Rangers 1 – Wolves 3
At the Somerset Cricket Club, Wolves came from behind to defeat Ireland Rangers 3 – 1. Sekai Proctor gave Ireland Rangers the lead in the seventh minute, but Morrico Iris equalized for Wolves in the 18th minute. Iris would put Wolves ahead in the 37th minute, and they took that 2 – 1 lead to the break.
The lone goal in the second half came in stoppage time as Antinori Butterfield found the back of the net.
Premier Division
X-Roads 4 – Robin Hood 1
At Lord’s in St. David’s, X-Roads defeated Robin Hood 4 – 1. X-Roads took the lead in the 16th minute when Kahmmori Brangman scored.
Donavan Thompson doubled the X-Roads lead in the 55th minute. Thompson added his second and his teams’ third in the 64th minute, before Ajai Daniels made it 4 – 0 three minutes later. Robin Hood got a goal in the 83rd minute from Destroy Smith.
Hamilton Parish 0 – Devonshire Cougars 2
At the Wellington Oval, Devonshire Cougars bounced back from their cup final defeat and beat Hamilton Parish 2 – 0.
Jazario Brimmer gave the Devonshire Cougars the lead in the 12th minute and they held that lead at the half.
Nyeem Simmons assured the Devonshire Cougars all three points when he found the back of the net in the 80th minute to make it 2 – 0.
