Sailing Vessel Diverts Due To Sick Crew Member

A 49ft sailing vessel diverted to Bermuda to disembark a crew member suffering from severe dehydration due to sea sickness.

A Bermuda Maritime Operations Centre spokesperson said, “Wednesday 16th November 2022, 2:00 pm – Bermuda Maritime Operations Centre, was advised that a crew member onboard the inbound 49ft sailing vessel Frog’s Leap, was suffering from severe dehydration due to sea sickness.

“S/V Frog’s Leap, had diverted to Bermuda, and was scheduled to arrive at approx. 01:30 am on Thursday 17th November. An ambulance met the vessel on arrival and the patient was safely transferred to KEMH.”
