ZFB/BBC To Broadcast World Triathlon Series
Bermuda Broadcasting will show live coverage of the World Triathlon Championship Series this Sunday [Nov 6], with some of the best triathletes in the world set to be in action, including Bermuda’s own Tyler Smith, Dame Flora Duffy and Erica Hawley
A spokesperson said, “Bermuda Broadcasting Company will air live coverage of the signature events of the World Triathlon Championship Series taking place this weekend.
“On Sunday, coverage will start with a live pre-race show starting at 9am, leading up to the first of the elite races. BBC will be broadcasting from Front Street, at the heart of the race track, and featuring interviews with leading figures around the event.
“Bermuda Broadcasting will then carry live coverage of the Men’s Elite Race, starting at 11am, and the Women’s Elite Race, starting at 2pm, on ZFB TV7 and Power 95 radio.
“All the action will be re-broadcast on Monday, between 10am and 5pm, on ZFB TV7.”
In addition to Bermuda’s three elite triathletes, the field will include some of best triathletes from around the world, with triathletes from nations including France, USA, UK, Canada, Japan, Portugal, Australia, Columbia, Austria, Spain, Brazil, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Mexico, Norway, Italy, Belgium, Netherlands, Czech Republic, Hungary, and Germany all listed to compete in the Bermuda event.
Bernews will have some live updates and photos of the event, however the best way to watch the event will be in person, with this event offering the unique opportunity to watch three of the island’s top athletes — including the reigning Gold Olympic medalist — in action on home soil, or for those who cannot make it in person, you can watch on local TV via BBC and there will also be a [paid] stream online at Triathlonlive.tv.
