Charities Receive Over $30K From Calendar

December 21, 2022

RUBiS Energy Bermuda announced that seven local charities each received a check for $4,758.57 [totalling over $30,000] generated from the proceeds of the 2022 RUBiS Calendar.

A spokesperson said, “These charities are:

  • Age Concern
  • Bermuda Hospital Board
  • Big Brothers Big Sisters [Bermuda]
  • Order of St. John’s Ambulance Brigade
  • Outward Bound Bermuda
  • P.A.L.S
  • The Coalition for the Protection of Children Bermuda

Mr. Jermaine Simons, Sales Manager of RUBiS, said: “We hope this donation will help these charities especially during these current challenging times that we all are experiencing. The theme of the 2022 calendar was ‘Heroes of the Pandemic’, and each of these charities were selected by various Pandemic Hero Groups featured in the calendar. We hope that these donations will help these charities to sustain their efforts to achieve their respective missions.”

Mr. Simons continued, “This successful initiative continues with the 2023 RUBiS Calendar. There is a new group of charities that will share in all the proceeds from this calendar. In addition, anyone who purchases a calendar will automatically transform their $5 donation into a Fuel Savers package valued at more than $40, and have a head-start on 2023 clues that may win them up to $250.00 in fuel.”

The spokesperson said, “100% of the proceeds from the 2023 Calendar will be shared with the following five charities:

  • Bermuda Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals [S.P.C.A]
  • BSmart Development Foundation
  • Habitat for Humanity of Bermuda
  • Lady Cubitt Compassionate Association, The [L.C.C.A]
  • Somerset Brigade Band’s Women’s Auxiliary
