Results: Premier & First Division Football

Footballers in both the Premier and First Division were in action this weekend, with the St. George’s Colts, X-Roads, Devonshire Cougars, Paget Lions, and Ireland Rangers all earning wins, while one match ended in a draw.

Premier Division

North Village Rams 0 – St. George’s Colts 4

At Bernard’s Park, the St. George’s Colts defeated the league leading North Village Rams 4 – 0.

After a scoreless first half, the St. George’s Colts took the lead when Blaiz Hall found the back of the net in the 60th minute. Jonte Smith doubled the lead when he scored in the 83rd minute. It was 3 – 0 in the 87th minute when Hall scored his second goal of the game before Malachi Trott scored a fourth in the 88th minute to earn the visitors three points.

X-Roads 2 – Somerset Trojans 0

At Lord’s in St. David’s, X-Roads picked up their second win of the season after they defeated the Somerset Trojans 2 – 0.

After a scoreless first half, Donavan Thompson gave X-Roads the lead in the 72nd minute. Jamin Lottimore doubled the lead in the 83rd minute, having entered the game at halftime.

Robin Hood 0 – Devonshire Cougars 3

The Devonshire Cougars scored three times in the first half as they defeated Robin Hood 3 – 0 at the BAA Field.

Jayon Fox gave the Devonshire Cougars the lead in the 17th minute. Elisha Darrell doubled the lead in the 28th minute. Darrell added a second in the 36th minute to put the Devonshire Cougars up 3 – 0.

First Division

Paget Lions 5 – Wolves 4

At the Southampton Oval, the Paget Lions edged Wolves 5 – 4. The Paget Lions got a hat trick from Antwan Russell, with Koshun Smith and Shakir Smith adding a goal each, while Jason Davis scored a hat trick for Wolves; Omeek Smith added the other.

Young Men Social Club 3 – Southampton Rangers 3

In a match that was almost halted due to a fire near the grounds of the Police Field, Young Men Social Club and the Southampton Rangers played to a 3 – 3 draw.

Young Men Social Club got single strikes from David Jones, Jinairo Johnson, and Jameko Mallory, while Isiah Taylor scored twice for the Southampton Rangers, with Ralston Wright adding the other.

St. David’s 2 – Ireland Rangers 4

At Lord’s in St. David’s, Ireland Rangers picked up a 4 – 2 win over St. David’s.

Tahje Wade scored twice to lead Ireland Rangers to victory, with Tre Govia and Jahnai Ratteray adding a goal each. Ari Cannonier and Iyuan Smith scored a goal each for St. David’s.
