Football: PHC Zebras Defeat Boulevard Blazers

The PHC Zebras ran up the score on the Boulevard Blazers at the BAA Field, winning 9 – 0.

In the 32nd minute, the PHC Zebras took the lead when a cross was not cleared by the Boulevard Blazers defense and Paul Simons scored from some twelve yards out.

Jenico Sealey doubled the lead one minute later; from an angle, Sealy had a powerful shot go in off the goalkeeper. Sealey added his second of the game in the 37th minute to make it 3 – 0; he got on the end of a cross before beating his marker and scoring. Keishon Bean got in on the scoring in the 43rd minute when his left-footed shot beat the Boulevard goalkeeper to his left, and the PHC Zebras took a 4 – 0 lead to the break.

Simons added his second goal of the game in the 52nd minute when he scored from close range. Marco Warren added the team’s sixth goal in the 54th minute, beating the keeper to a cross and scoring into an empty net. In the 73rd minute, Sealey completed his hat trick with a left-footed shot that beat the goalkeeper at the near post.

Shavy Nisbett came off the bench and got in on the scoring in the 76th minute when a cross from Sealey was played into the path of Nisbett from Warren and Nisbett had the tap-in from six yards out. In stoppage time Nisbett added his second to make it 9 – 0 after a bad clearance from the Boulevard Blazers goalkeeper went straight to Nisbett, who scored into an empty net.
