Black Watch Pass To Close On Two Weekends
The Ministry of Public Works advised that “Black Watch Pass will need to be closed to accommodate the vegetation removal along the upper cliff face,” with the closures set to take place on the weekends of January 21-22, 2023 and January 29, 2023.
A Government spokesperson said, “The Ministry of Public Works wishes to inform the motoring and pedestrian public that Black Watch Pass will need to be closed to accommodate the vegetation removal along the upper cliff face.
“The road closure and vegetation removal is to commence only on weekends. The first weekend will be on postponed due to weather conditions to following weekend of January 21-22, 2023 and January 29, 2023.
“Traffic controls will be under the direction of the Ministry of Public Works representatives and will be managed with road closure from 7:00 am until 5:00 pm on weekends.
“Motorists and pedestrians are advised to use alternative routes via North Shore Road or Marsh Folly Road during the road closure. There will be no access granted for pedestrians during this road closure due to the anticipation of the ongoing falling debris.
“The Ministry of Public Works wishes to encourage the full cooperation of the public and apologizes for any inconvenience that may result.

Glad it’s the vegetation… Government notice said they were getting rid of the vegetarians… ????
