Gombey Council Members Attend MLK Event
Representatives from the Bermuda Gombey Council were present at the Anglican Cathedral along with representatives from Citizens Uprooting Racism in Bermuda [CURB], Imagine Bermuda, and Social Justice Bermuda, as the celebration of the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King was held.
A spokesperson said, “They were presented with a thank you for their responsiveness and swift reconciliation to recent tensions, and commitment to unity within the Gombey culture.
“Present were: Irwin Trott, Jairzinho Cooper, Dennis Parsons, Zane Hendrickson, Earshun DeShields, & Bilal Binns. Also photographed is Glenn Fubler of Imagine Bermuda and Minister of Youth, Culture and Sport, Senator Owen K. Darrell.”
