90 Minutes Of Video: 2014 Gombey Festival
Crowds packed the W. E. R. Joell Tennis Stadium on Saturday night [Sept 13], as the Department of Community and Cultural Affairs hosted the Gombey Festival, and if you weren’t able to take in the live spectacle, or want to relive it, we’ve posted over 90 minutes of video from the event.
There were performances by H & H Gombeys, Gombey Warriors, Warner Gombey Troupe, Places Gombeys, as well as visiting stilt walkers from St. Kitts. In addition, Gary Phillips was honoured for his work with cultivating and strengthening the traditions of Gombey music and dance.
