Harveys Both Win Events In Swim Meet
Swimming siblings Emma and Jack Harvey both won events during a recent meet for their University team.
Emma Harvey and her Penn State women’s swimming and diving teammates defeated Army, 229-68, while Jack Harvey and his Penn State men’s teammates defeated Army 197-101 at McCoy Navatorium in the first home victory of the new year.
Emma Harvey was part of a relay team that set a pool record. Molly Carson, Olivia Jack, Emma Harvey and Mary Brinker touched first in the women’s 200 yard medley with a time of 1:38.01 at the beginning of the meet,
Senior captain Emma Harvey won both the women’s 100 yard backstroke and women’s 100 yard butterfly with times of 53.78 and 53.40, both NCAA B-cuts.
Jack Harvey won the 200 yard backstroke with a time of 1:46.59.
