Results: First & Premier Division Football
Footballers in both the First Division and Premier Division were in action this weekend, with the BAA, Wolves, North Village Rams, X-Roads, and Devonshire Cougars all earning wins, while one match ended in a draw.
First Division
Young Men Social Club 0 – BAA 2
After a scoreless first half, BAA scored twice in the second half to defeat Young Men Social Club 2 – 0.
BAA got goals from Miguel Falcao and Toby Gibbons.
Wolves 1 – St. David’s 0
Wolves edged St. David’s 1 – 0 at the Wellington Oval to remain on top of the table.
The lone goal of the game came in the 29th minute when Troy Tucker found the back of the net.
Premier Division
Hamilton Parish 1 – St. George’s Colts 1
At the Wellington Oval, Hamilton Parish and the St. George’s Colts ended in a 1 – 1 draw.
Blaiz Hall scored the St. George’s Colts’ goal, while Shayne Hollis netted for Hamilton Parish.
North Village Rams 3 – Robin Hood 0
The North Village Rams returned to the top of the table with this 3 – 0 win over Robin Hood at Bernard Park.
The North Village Rams held a 1 – 0 lead at the break following Owen Botelho’s goal in the 24th minute.
Terryn Fray doubled the lead when he found the back of the net in the 50th minute, and then Jalen Harvey made it 3 – 0 to the North Village Rams.
Dandy Town Hornets 1 – X-Roads 2
X-Roads edged the Dandy Town Hornets 2 – 1 at the BAA Field.
After a scoreless first half, Donavan Thompson gave X-Roads the lead, but Tomiko Goater equalized for the Dandy Town Hornets when he converted from the spot. With two minutes remaining, Thompson scored his second goal of the game and that proved to be the winner.
Devonshire Cougars 7 – Boulevard Blazers 0
At the Devonshire Recreation Club, the Devonshire Cougars defeated the Boulevard Blazers 7 – 0.
The Devonshire Cougars got two goals from both Elisha Darrell and Jazario Brimmer, while Domico Coddington, Chris Caisey, and Demetre Daniels all added a goal each.
