The Bermuda Opera team is presenting the Met: Live in HD [2021-22] & Encore series in Bermuda on film on Sundays at BUEI at 5.00pm.
A spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Opera team is proud to present the Met: Live in HD [2021-22] & Encore series in Bermuda on film. See these world-class productions on the big screen in high definition quality.
“All operas on Sundays at 5.00pm at BUEI, unless otherwise advised. All have English subtitles and are approximately 3-4 hours long [including 30 minute interval].

“Madama Butterfly [Puccini] – ‘Encore’ from 2009 in Italian on Sunday, January 15 at 5.00pm at BUEI.
Aria ‘Un bel dì, vedremo’ [One fine day we'll see] from Madama Butterfly:
“Anthony Minghella’s beautiful, atmospheric production of Puccini’s tragedy stars soprano Patricia Racette as Cio-Cio-San, the trusting and innocent young geisha who disastrously falls in love with American Navy lieutenant B. F. Pinkerton, sung by tenor Marcello Giordani.
