Met Opera: Live In HD & Encore Series
The Bermuda Opera team is presenting the Met: Live in HD [2021-22] & Encore series in Bermuda on film on Sundays at BUEI at 5.00pm, with the next installment to take place on Sunday [April 16].
A spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Opera Team is proud to present the Met: Live in HD [2021-22] & Encore series in Bermuda [on film]. Don’t miss your chance to see these world class productions on the big screen in high definition quality.
“All operas on Sundays at 5.00pm at BUEI, unless otherwise advised. All have English subtitles and are approximately 3-4 hours long, including a 30 minute interval.

“For first time in history, the Met presents original French version of Verdi’s epic opera of doomed love among royalty, set against the backdrop of the Spanish Inquisition, with Matthew Polenzani, Sonya Yoncheva and Elīna Garanča. Verdi’s masterpiece receives a monumental new staging by David McVicar that marks his 11th Met production, placing him among the most prolific and popular directors in recent Met memory.
