Santana, Stevens Win Titles In Triangle Challenge

JJ Santana and Ellie Stevens claimed top honours in the Chubb Bermuda Triangle Half Challenge.

American Santana finished with an accumulative time of 1hr 45min 29sec after coming second in the Butterfield Triangle Challenge Mile [4:23] before winning both the BF&M 10K Race [32:39] and the PwC Bermuda Half Marathon [1:08:25].

Tyler Butterfield finished second, with the Bermudian placing fifth in the Butterfield Triangle Challenge [4:50], third in the BF&M 10K Race [33:25] and second in the PwC Bermuda Half Marathon [1:12:11] for an overall time of 1:50:27.

Rounding out the podium was Elias Graca, of the United States, who won the Butterfield Triangle Challenge Mile [4:17], came second in the BF&M 10K Race [33:06] and third in the PwC Bermuda Half Marathon [1:14:19] for an accumulative time of 1:51:43.

In the women’s competition, Stevens, of England, claimed the top spot with an accumulative time of 2:06:28 after finishing runner-up in the Butterfield Triangle Challenge Mile [4:56] before winning both the BF&M 10K Race [37:47] and the PwC Bermuda Half Marathon [1:23:45].

Amanda Nurse came second with an overall time of 2:08:43. The American came fourth in the Butterfield Triangle Challenge Mile [5:23], third in the BF&M 10K Race [38:48] and second in the PwC Bermuda Half Marathon [1:24:31].

Her compatriot Christina Veragara-Aleshire took third place [2:08:58], coming third in the Butterfield Triangle Challenge Mile [5:04], second in the BF&M 10K Race [38:29] and third in the PwC Bermuda Half Marathon [1:25:24].
