Videos: Weather Conditions On Saturday
The island experienced less than desirable weather today [Jan 14] with the forecast prompting the Bermuda Weather Service to issue a Gale Warning, Thunderstorm Advisory, and even a Severe Weather Warning for a brief period this afternoon, with the weather resulting in some power outages, which BELCO crews have been out working to restore.
The weather did manage to accommodate the BF&M 10K race this morning, with the rain starting after the conclusion of the race, and according to the BWS the weather will improve, with their current forecast stating, “The very wet and windy weather gradually improves this evening as a vigorous cold front clears the area. However, it will remain showery and quite windy through the rest of the weekend and into early next week as deep low pressure spins towards the north. Temperatures turn cooler tomorrow.”
