Video: BNV Interview With Dr Duranda Greene

Bermuda College President Dr. Duranda Greene is joining Bernews at 4.15pm this afternoon [Feb 21] for the latest episode in the Bernews News & Views series.

Dr. Greene — along with Randy Horton, Ellen-Kate Horton, and Robert Horton who will also be BNV guests this week — is being honoured by the Hamilton Princess & Beach Club for its 2023 Black History Month Celebrations, which sees the hotel host a Celebration Dinner, with a portion of the proceeds from the event donated to the honourees’ charities of choice.

In announcing Dr. Greene as an honouree the Hamilton Princess said, “Dr. Duranda Greene was appointed the first female President of Bermuda College in 2007, and has served in various roles during her journey to the Presidency. She is an alumna of Bermuda College, and under her leadership led the College through international accreditation, and re-accreditation with the New England Commission of Higher Education.

“She has also led the introduction of various new programmes including: nursing, diagnostic imaging technology, marine science and compliance; along with the establishment of the Bermuda College Foundation to raise money on behalf of the College. The Foundation’s fundraising efforts resulted in the recently built Career Development Centre on the campus. Dr. Greene has a Doctorate in Educational Leadership with a concentration in Higher Education from Argosy University, Sarasota. She also holds a Master’s Degree in Business Management from Boston University, and a Master’s Degree in Education from Mount St. Vincent University.”
