One Lane Closure For Swing Bridge Inspection
There will be a single lane closure on the Swing Bridge from Thursday to Monday due to an inspection of the road surface.
A Government spokesperson said, “The Ministry of Public Works wishes to inform the motoring public that an inspection of the road surface at Swing Bridge will commence on Thursday, February 9th, 2023 and will be ongoing through Monday, February 13th, 2023. The bridge will be affected by a single lane closure while this work takes place.
“Traffic controls will be under direction of Ministry of Public Works representatives and will be managed via traffic control signals and signage. Motorists are advised to plan accordingly.
“The Ministry of Public Works wishes to encourage the full cooperation of the public and apologizes for any inconvenience that may result.
“Should there be any questions regarding the bridge works, contact Mr. Austin Kenny, Principal Structural Engineer on #501-3153. Any queries on detours, contact Ms. Carolina Orellana, Highways Engineer for the Ministry of Public Works on #501-3031.”
Another opportunity for Mr. DeSilva or F & F services. Why not hire Company that did the maintenance years ago. They, I am sure know more about the bridge than a new firm.
Maybe that company didn’t wish to participate in the ‘+ 10%’ ?
