[Updating] There is what BELCO has termed a “mass-outage affecting the island” right now [Feb 3] and BELCO said “crews are currently working to restore power.” We — who also lost our phone connection — will update as able. The police have noted that “with traffic lights out due to the island wide power outage police officers are being positioned at major junctions.”

Obviously, with an ex-PLP minister running Belco after being fired from his ministerial post, it’s a cozy relationship. Hence Weeks is already saying he thinks the Belco response is ‘excellent’ while the whole country still sits here with no power.
The RA will have a sham ‘investigation’ and absolutely nothing will happen.

Our roads are in 3rd world condition because of them, the householders wont benefit from this major disruption – all it’s going to take is for a pole to fall and your out of electricity, or as today, taking short-cuts…….surprise they didnt blame it on “high winds” -usually the case.
