Footballers in both the Premier and First Division were in action this weekend with PHC Zebras & St. David’s earning wins.
Premier Division
PHC Zebras 4 St. George’s Colts 0
The PHC Zebras all but ended the St. George’s Colts dreams of being the Premier Division Champions this week with a 4 – 0 win over the east enders at the PHC Stadium.
The PHC Zebras took the lead in the 42nd minute, Marco Warren’s corner kick went in at the far post.
The lead was doubled on the stroke of halftime, Paul Simons went down the left side and his cross found Jenico Sealey unmarked in the box and he made no mistake.
Warren made it 3 – 0 in the 52nd minute, and then Shavon Nisbettt made it 4 – 0 in the 85th minute.
First Division
BAA 0 St. David’s 1
St. David’s traveled to BAA Field and put a dent in BAA’s chances of winning the League as well as their promotion bid with a 1 – 0 win.
Iyuan Smith scored the lone goal for the visitors in the 28th minute of the match.
