March 17 & 18: Bermuda International Rugby 7s
After a three year hiatus due to Covid-19 the Bermuda International Rugby 7s Tournament has returned, and the tournament kicks off on Friday [March 17] at 4.45pm and continues on Saturday [March 18] at 12.00pm at the Bermuda National Stadium.
A spokesperson said, “Thirteen collegiate teams entered from the United States will be competing against the Bermuda National Men’s and Women’s Teams. The tournament will also feature the U9 to U14’s Bermuda youth teams who will be showing off their skills on the second day of the tournament.”
Event organizer, Tom Healy, is ready for the return of the event. “We are excited to be able to host the Bermuda International 7s Tournament again this year. The tournament first started in 2016. Since then the support and demand for the event continues to grow, reaching new collegiate and high school teams. It has become an important fixture for the visiting collegiate teams as well as Bermuda Rugby.”
The spokesperson said “There will be a bar located field side and food will be available for purchase from Kara’s Kitchen.
