Parish, Zebras, Young Men & St David’s Win

Footballers in both the Premier Division and First Division were in action this weekend, with the Hamilton Parish, PHC Zebras, Young Men Social Club, and St. David’s all earning wins.

Premier Division

Hamilton Parish 2 – Robin Hood 0

At the Wellington Oval, Hamilton Parish defeated Robin Hood 2 – 0.

After a scoreless first half Jordan Outerbridge gave Hamilton Parish the lead in the 53rd minute, and then two minutes later Outerbridge doubled the Hamilton Parish lead as they closed out the match.

PHC Zebras 2 – Dandy Town Hornets 0

The PHC Zebras claimed a 2 – 0 win over the Dandy Town Hornets.

After a scoreless first half, the PHC Zebras took the lead in the 55th minute, Jenico Sealey picked up the ball just outside the box, and he unleashed a left footed shot that beat the keeper to his left.

Paul Simons made it 2 – 0 in the 65th minute, Marco Warrens shot was saved, with Simons following up and putting the ball away doubling the PHC Zebras lead.

First Division

Devonshire Colts 0 – Young Men Social Club 1

After a scoreless first half, Young Men Social Club got the all-important goal that sees them join the Paget Lions at the top of the table with 30 points.

A looping header midway through the second half from Giniko Butterfield was enough for Young Men Social Club to keep their dreams of promotion alive.

Southampton Rangers 1 – St. David’s 3

At the Southampton Oval, St. David’s defeated Southampton Rangers 3 – 1.

Neither team would score in the first half, Iyaun Smith gave St. David’s the lead in the 59th minute, but Akale Bean equalized for the Southampton Rangers in the 68th minute. Amon Joaquin Simons put St. David’s back in front in the 76th minute, he would add a second and St. David’s third in the 89th minute.
