Two People Injured In Collision In Flatts

Two motorcycle riders were injured in a collision in Flatts this morning [March 10].

A police spokesperson said, “Shortly after 8:10 a.m. on Friday, March 10th, 2023, police attended a three vehicle road traffic collision involving an unmarked police vehicle and two motorcycles, near the junction of North Shore Road and Middle Road, Flatts.

“The unmarked police vehicle was traveling on North Shore Road, Flatts. As the driver approached the roundabout near the junction with Middle Road the vehicle slowed due to the flow of traffic.

“A male motorcycle rider, collided with the rear bumper of the police vehicle. A female motorcycle rider, who was who was following behind, tried to avoid the collision.

“She lost control of the bike and slid out on the roadway. She sustained minor injuries to her ankle and knee.

“The male motorcycle rider suffered a minor hand injury. The male driver [a police officer], of the police vehicle was uninjured in the collision.
