City Advisory: Holiday Trash Collection
The City of Hamilton is advising City businesses and residents that there will be no trash collection within City limits on Good Friday [April 7th] or Easter Sunday [April 9th].
A spokesperson said, “The last collection for commercial businesses, bars and restaurants will be at 5:00pm on Thursday. Collection for bars and restaurants on Saturday will be in accordance with the regular schedule. Last collection for residential areas will be 6:00am on Thursday and collection for all will resume as per normal on Monday, April 10th.
“The City reminds businesses and residents to store their wheelie bins in a secure location to avoid theft and any damage that may be caused during inclement or windy conditions.
“The community is reminded that the dumping of household trash in Hamilton from the outer parishes is in violation of the Waste Litter Control Act and may be punishable by law.”
