No City Trash Collection On Good Friday & Easter

March 31, 2021

The City of Hamilton advises the public that “there will be no trash collection within the City limits on Good Friday [April 2] or Easter Sunday [April 4].”

A spokesperson said, “City refuse will be collected on Saturday morning [April 3] for bars and restaurants and on Saturday evening there will be a scaled down trash collection service for City businesses. City residents should put their refuse out as normal on Thursday [April 1]; there will be no residential refuse collection until Monday [April 5].

“The City reminds businesses and residents to store their wheelie bins in a secure location to avoid theft and any damage that may be caused during inclement or windy conditions.

“The community is reminded that the dumping of household trash in Hamilton from the outer parishes is in violation of the Waste Litter Control Act and may be punishable by law.
