Fundraising Experts Present To AFP Bermuda
On Friday, April 28, the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Bermuda [AFP Bermuda] welcomed two fundraising experts from CCS Fundraising—Natalie Skinner and Kris Kuhns —to the Red Cross for a special presentation.
A spokesperson said, “Minister of Social Development and Seniors, the Honourable Tinee Furbert JP, MP and 23 local fundraising professionals and non-profit board members gathered with Ms. Skinner and Ms. Kuhns for a discussion on philanthropic trends, successfully engaging non-profit boards, attracting and retaining donors, and strategies and tactics for today’s fundraisers. The conversation included an overview of philanthropic trends, tips for cultivating and soliciting today’s major donor, best practices for engaging and motivating your board, and an open question and answer session.”
Ann Spencer-Arscott [Executive Director of Bermuda Red Cross] and Katie Bennett [Advancement Officer at the National Museum of Bermuda], Co-Presidents of AFP Bermuda, shared: “It was incredibly helpful to hear from Natalie and Kris during our first in-person AFP Bermuda meeting since the pandemic began. We are grateful to them for taking time out of their busy schedule to share their expertise with local fundraising professionals. We all learned a lot!”.
