This appointment follows an open and competitive recruitment process to which the post was advertised both locally and internationally.”
The Governor said, “The job of Deputy Commissioner of Police is an important one. I know the scale of responsibility and accountability is not lost on Mrs Astwood. I believe that she will stand with the Commissioner as a firm, consistent and modern leader within the Bermuda Police Service. ”
Deputy Commissioner Astwood said, “I am excited and look forward to leading the men and women of our organisation as we continue to serve our community, making Bermuda safer.”
Is that a Sharpie the Governor is using to sign? Can’t we find her a better pen than that?
Congratulations! Absolutely Awesome!
