Woman Injured In Collision In Devonshire
A female motorcycle rider was injured in a collision in Devonshire this afternoon [May 13].
A police spokesperson said, “Around 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 13th, 2023, Police and EMS personnel were dispatched to a reported two vehicle road traffic collision involving a motor car and a motorcycle at the junction of Palmetto Road and Parsons Lane, Devonshire.
“It was reported that the female motorcycle rider was traveling west along Palmetto Road when she collided with the motorcar which was exiting Parson’s Lane making a right hand turn, east onto Palmetto Road.
“The motorcycle rider sustained head and facial injuries, but remained conscious and alert while being attended to at the scene by EMTs. She was subsequently transported by ambulance to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.
“The motorcycle was extensively damaged while the motorcar was left with damage to the right rear.
“The female driver and the other two occupants of the motorcar were not reported to be injured.
“Traffic diversions were implemented while the scene was forensically processed.
