Bermuda Players Begin Davis Cup Tournament
Bermuda tennis players began the Davis Cup tournament at the Club Internacional de Tenis, Asuncion, in Paraguay, falling 3 – 0 to Bolivia.
In the opening match, Trey Mallory lost in straight sets to Raul Garcia 6-3, 6-3.
Daniel Phillips took to the court for Bermuda’s second match; he won the first set 6-3 against Juan Carlos Angelo, but then lost in the next two sets 6-2, 6-1.
The doubles team of James Finnigan and Gavin Manders faced Agustin Lorberg, and Carcia, with the Bermuda pair losing 6-2, 6-1.
