Bermuda footballer Reggie Lambe has parted ways with English non-league side AFC Sudbury where he spent the second half of last season.

Lambe, who joined the Suffolk-based club in February, helped them win promotion from the Isthmian League North Division via the play-off final.

“I would like to wish AFC Sudbury all the best, my time at the club has come to an end,” Lambe tweeted today [June 24]. “It was short but sweet. Thanks for the memories!”

The 32-year-old joined AFC Sudbury from Isthmian League North Division rivals Stowmarket Town.

His departure follows that of manager Rick Andrews, who, according to the Suffolk News, left the club because of “swingeing budget cuts”.

Lambe, the island’s most capped international player, has enjoyed a varied career, playing for Ipswich Town, Toronto FC, Nykopings BIS, Mansfield Town, Carlisle United and Cambridge United.
