Bermuda winger Reggie Lambe has signed for English non-league side Braintree Town.
Lambe joins Braintree, who play in the Vanarama National League South – the sixth tier of English football – after leaving Isthmian League North Division outfit AFC Sudbury last week.
“Let’s gooo. I’m ready for the start of the season,” Lambe tweeted today.
The 32-year-old joined AFC Sudbury in February, helping them win promotion via the play-offs. He is the third player to join Braintree from AFC Sudbury this summer.
“I’d like to wish AFC Sudbury all the best, my time at the club has come to an end,” Lambe tweeted last week. “It was short but sweet. Thanks for the memories.”
Willie Clemons, Lambe’s Bermuda team-mate, made 31 appearances for Braintree last season, scoring two goals, helping them finish seventh in the table.
Lambe, the island’s most capped international, has enjoyed a varied career, playing for Ipswich Town, Toronto FC, Nykopings BIS, Mansfield Town, Carlisle United and Cambridge United.
