The Bermuda women’s team continued their winning streak with a 3-0 victory over Maidenhead United women in a friendly match in Berkshire, England, on Monday night.

Coach Naquita Robinson’s team claimed the gold medal at the NatWest International Island Games in Guernsey last week, finishing the tournament undefeated in five games without conceding a goal.

LeiLanni Nesbeth, who bagged a brace in a 4-0 win over the Western Isles in the final, opened the scoring against Maidenhead, with Za’Khari Turner and Trinae Edwards also netting.

Meanwhile, the Bermuda under-23 men’s side also won a friendly on Monday, beating the Independent Development Academy of Reading 7-1 in Greater London.

Enrique Russell and Jai Bean scored twice for the under-23s, who came fourth at the Island Games. Leroy Lewis Jr, Andrew Kempe and Kashe Hall also scored.
